Palmetto State : Recruiting Roundup
PrepHoops takes a look at which players have decided to end their recruitment in this article. Several players decided recently on where they will be playing this coming fall.
Craig “CJ” Sabb will play at Pfeiffer (NC) (NCAA D3) next season. Pfeiffer recently dropped down to NCAA D3 from the D2 ranks. Sabb a guard from Stratford HS averaged 15.7 ppg, 4.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists this past season while making Region 7 – 5A All-Region Team. Sabb was recently playing AAU with Palmetto Elite this spring. Sabb is ranked #48 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Darius Bryant informed Prep Hoops that he will do a postgraduate year at Moravian Prep in Hickory, NC next season. Bryant a guard finished his career with over 1600 points and was named to the 5A All-State Team. Bryant 5’9 can really score the ball in a hurry. Bryant is a shooter with deep range. Bryant played AAU this spring with the South Carolina Hornets after playing last summer with Upward Stars Upstate team. Bryant is ranked #51 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Andrew Tate won’t have to leave town to play at USC-Upstate next fall. Tate a local product from Spartanburg HS averaged 10 ppg, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks this season for the Vikings. Tate 6’5 is extremely active on both ends of the floor and a quick leaper. Tate was ranked #100 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this past season. Tate played AAU with Upward Stars Unsigned this spring.
Brandon Miller informed Prep Hoops that he will attend Combine Academy in Charlotte, NC this fall. Miller a point guard from Pinewood Prep (Summerville) averaged 12 ppg, 4.4 rebounds and 6.2assists this season for the Panthers. The Panthers finished the season at 23-11. Miller played with Sabb on Palmetto Elite this spring. Miller is ranked #113 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Anthony Hill helped Burke HS win the 2A State Championship this season over Keenan HS 56-53. Hill a 6’4 jumping jack won’t have far to travel next season to play college ball. Hill a small forward will play at USC-Salkehatchie in Walterboro. Hill averaged 13 ppg and 7.7 rebounds this season. The Bulldogs finished the season at 22-4. Hill is ranked #118 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Brendan Kowalewski will play lacrosse at Emmanuel College (GA) next season. Kowalewski a guard from Waccamaw HS played on the AAU circuit this spring with Flight 22 Unsigned. Sabb, Tate and Kowalewski all played in Swanny’s Roundball Review Unsigned Senior Event this past March.
