Jaylen Quick (2017) has signed with Fayetteville Tech Community College (NC). Quick played this past season at Wilson HS after transferring over from South Florence HS. Quick 6’7 post player is ranked #29 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season. Quick averaged 10.2 ppg and 7.2 rebounds this season for the 22-1 Tigers.
Justin Busby (2017) has informed Prep Hoops that he will enroll at Coastal Carolina University and be a student next fall. Busby played his senior season at Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach. The Saints lost in the 2A SCISA State Championship game to Spartanburg Day School and Zion Williamson. Busby averaged 16.2 ppg, 3.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds this season for the Saints. Busby is ranked #34 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season.
Lloyd Hemming (2017) will continue his playing career at USC-Upstate next season. Hemming was the 3A State Player of the Year. Hemming averaged 18.5 ppg this season at Brookland-Cayce HS. Hemming is ranked #36 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this year.
Shelby Grimes (2017) has signed to play at Newberry (NCAA D2) next season according to Charleston Collegiate Assistant Coach Antoine Saunders. Grimes 6’4 helped the Sun Devils win back to back 1A SCISA State Championships. Grimes averaged 21.3 ppg this season. Grimes started his career off at Wando HS in Mount Pleasant. Grimes is ranked #96 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season.
Monta Houston (2017) has signed to play at Erskine College (NCAA D2) next fall according to York Prep Head Coach Frank Hambrick. Houston a point guard is a very pesky defender and can really push the tempo of the game up the floor. Houston is ranked #103 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this past season.
Marquauris McKnight (2017) will play at Fayetteville Tech Community College (NC) next fall. McKnight 6’7 post player played at Wilson HS this season with Quick. McKnight a long and rangy athlete needs to add weight and muscle to his frame. McKnight has a great upside.
Tyrell Oglesby (2017) has signed with Catawba Valley Community College (NC) for next season. Oglesby a guard played in the South Carolina North-South All Star Game. Oglesby played at Chapman HS (Inman) in the Upstate.
David Sloan arrived at 22Feet Academy late in January 2017 has signed with John A Logan College (Carterville, IL) for next season. Sloan started the season at Conrad Academy (FL) before landing at 22Feet Academy. Sloan is originally from Kentucky. Teammate Noah Thomas has signed with Drake University for next season. Thomas is a native of Australia.
