The school year is just weeks away from being over and some players here in the Palmetto State have made a decision on where they want to play basketball at next year. Read more in this segment right here.
Desmond Pressley has informed Prep Hoops that he signed with Newberry (NCAA D2) for next season. Pressley was named 1A State Player of the Year this season. Pressley a left-handed point guard helped his Hemingway Tigers squad to a State Championship over Lewisville.
Pressley averaged 13.2 ppg and 5.5 rebounds this season for the Tigers. Pressley scored 45 points vs Blythewood HS this season in the Pepsi Carolina back in December 2016. Pressley played in the NCAA Live Period this past month with Team All or Nothing. Pressley is ranked #27 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season.
Michael Wright has informed Prep Hoops that he will attend prep school next season. Wright told Prep Hoops that he will play at Moravian Prep in Hickory, NC next fall. Wright 6’6 small forward has played his high school career at Pinewood Prep. Wright played AAU ball with Palmetto Elite. Wright is ranked #61 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season.
Ra Anderson isn’t a household name around the Palmetto State. Anderson will find his way to Coker College (NCAA D2) for next season. Anderson 6’4 small forward averaged 11.7 ppg and 6.5 rebounds this season for the Timberland HS Wolves. Anderson a very solid student academically didn’t play on the AAU circuit. Anderson is ranked #88 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this year.
Julian Randolph has committed to North Greenville University (NCAA D2) for next season. Randolph 6’6 forward played just a partial season this year at Westside HS (Anderson). Randolph averaged 8 ppg and 8 rebounds this year. Randolph is very active around the rim and has good length. Randolph can hit the baseline jumper and plays every possession extremely hard.
Duane Moss 6’7 will look to visit Chattanooga this coming weekend according to a close source. Austin Peay and UNC-Greensboro are showing heavy interest in the combo forward. Moss played just a partial season after Carolina Forest HS after getting hurt in December 2016. Moss a one-time Youngstown State signee reopened his recruitment after the coaching change.
