Palmetto State : 22 Feet Academy Updates
Prep Hoops had a chance to touch base with former 22 Feet Academy Head Coach Richard Gatewood today about his former players.
Mamoudou Diarra (2017) has committed to the University of Cincinnati according to Gatewood. Diarra is ranked #3 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 in the Palmetto State. Diarra had signed back in the fall with the University of Washington. Diarra got his release when then Head Coach Lorenzo Romar was let go after the season.
Mumin Tunc
Mumin Tunc (2017) will take a visit to George Washington University in the near future according to Gatewood. Tunc 7’2 slender sleek post player attended IMG Academy (FL) a few years back. Tunc is ranked #10 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season.
David Sloan (2017) arrived at 22 Feet Academy back in late January 2017. Sloan started the season at Conrad Academy in Orlando, FL. Sloan originally from Kentucky might need to entertain the junior college route according to Gatewood.
Tajah Fraley (2017) a left-handed athletic slasher will visit the University of Detroit in the future according to Gatewood. Fraley is originally from Georgia.
Noah Thomas
Noah Thomas (2017) hails from Sydney Australia. Thomas will visit Drake, Florida Gulf Coast and New Mexico
State according to Gatewood. Thomas 6’1 guard is shifty with the ball and has the ability to create seperation on his shot.
Nevin Zink (2017) has returned back home to Connecticut. Zink has told Prep Hoops he could do a post graduate next season somewhere in New England. Zink is playing with the Connecticut Force AAU this spring.
Peanut Cunningham (2017) will need to entertain junior college for next season according to Gatewood. Cunningham is a really athletic guard that hails from the State of Kentucky.
Daniel Sackey (2018) point guard from Winnipeg, Alberta Canada will not return to 22 Feet Academy next season according to Gatewood. Sackey is currently playing with Canada Elite AAU. Sackey has received plenty of interest at 22 Feet Academy this past season.
