Intro: Kee Hargrow (2020)
Welcome to the radar Mr. Hargrow! Joliet Central 6’6” power forward Kee Hargrow broke out in our eyes this spring playing with Meanstreets. He only played on the sophomore team this past year so not a lot of people know about him, but they will soon. Very mobile post player with quickness around the hoop. Quick off the ground and is super bouncy finishing in the paint. Works well in the pick and roll. Solid rebounder with projectability long term.
Hargrow didn’t play varsity as a freshman instead opting to play a key role on the sophomore team.
“It went great. We went 20-5 playing with the sophomore team. In the summer league I was playing with varsity, but I told them I wanted to play with sophomores because I wanted to get an experience for the game and how the school is. Next year I will be playing varsity.”
How was it to experience being the man for the sophomore team?
“It was good for me. I got many people looking at me and my game is elevating each and every day working hard.”
What are the biggest assets he brings to a team.
“Being the big man. Getting down in the post and getting the rebounds and protecting that rim!”
He also has some perimeter skill, but right now is focusing on working inside-out.
“I will show it sooner or later. It is going to come. For right now I am going to play my game and play big. Rebound.”
Look for Hargrow to start to gain some D1 looks playing with Meanstreets 15U.
