Intro: Jack Kahoun (2020)
At 6’2” Jack Kahoun is out of Oswego where he saw significant run as a freshman. He is a plus shooter from all over the floor. The combo guard drills them off the catch and can hit pull ups as well. This is the strength of his game. Has a chance to be a big time shot maker over the next three years. Makes crisp passes and moves well away from the ball playing the point guard position. Competes on D and moves well laterally.
He had a significant role for Oswego right out of the gate as a freshman.
“It went really good. We were a very young team this year only having three seniors. It was a good year and taught me a lot of things. I had a lot of fun. I felt I played good. There were some games I contributed a lot. There were some games I was off, but it was all a learning experience for me.”
How big was it for him to make an impact on the varsity level as a 9th grader?
“It was a big step for me. I felt I contributed a lot.”
He told us what he feels his biggest assets are as a player.
“Obviously shooting especially from mid-range. Driving to the hoop and get others open.”
Kahoun plays with the Illinois Wolves 15U where he is one of the go to players.
“It is awesome. As soon as I started playing with these guys I loved it. Great teammates and great coaches. I consider myself the leader in practice. I get everyone going before and after games.”
A couple of colleges came out to watch him during his freshman season.
“Brown University and Western Illinois came to my practices during the year.”
