Grassroots : Big Shots -Stock Risers
Prep Hoops SC will for sure be adding some new names in the future to the state rankings. Prep Hoops SC took in the action here this weekend from York Comprehensive HS. Some players that have seen there stock rise here in this article of Stock Risers.
Samuel Woods (2018) Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach – Manzer Basketball Club Black 17U
Woods has changed uniforms over from Big Shots South Carolina over to Manzer Basketball Club Black the past few weekends.Woods 6’7 seems to be more comfortable with this group better. Woods scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the victory for Manzer Black 17U. Woods was able to finish at will around the basket today and was able to step-out for the 8-10 footer.
Romello Grant (2019) Military Magnet (North Charleston) – Charleston Strong (pictured on front)
Grant was steady all weekend for the hard playing Charleston Strong team. Grant 6’1 who excels on the gridiron as a running back is just as tough on the basketball floor. Grant uses his body to bully defenders in the paint. Grant excels in attacking the basket. Grant a slasher deluxe averaged 16.7 ppg over the weekend. Grant a tough minded kid shot a few short court jumpers but rather prefer taking the ball to the rack every time.
David Muncy (2019) Shannon Forest Christian (Greenville) – South Carolina Sonics
Muncy 6’1 combo guard plays with a lot of savvy on the floor. Muncy is shifty with the ball and can get to the basket almost every time he wants to. Muncy a fierce competitor shows to make shots from deep range as he hit several today from behind the arch. Muncy plays with a swagger and confidence you can’t teach and really is a enjoyment to watch.
Sammy Pressley (2020) Mullins HS – Karolina Khaos Silver 15U
Pressley is a player I saw a few times this season for the storied rich Auctioneers program. Pressley isn’t known outside the Pee Dee Area of the Palmetto State. Pressley 6’3 plays with a high motor and just does what he’s told to do on the floor. Pressley plays bigger than his size and rebounds the ball very well on both ends of the floor. Pressley is coached by former NBA/Clemson player Sharone Wright Sr here on the Karolina Khaos Silver squad.
