Stock Risers from Big Shots – Charlotte
Prep Hoops SC took in the action at Big Shots – Charlotte yesterday. The action was played at the Carolina Courts out in Indian Trail. Carolina Courts is a 6 court facility. Here is a rundown of some players in this edition of Stock Risers.
Jake Lanford (2018) – Porter Gaud (Charleston) – TMP 17U
Lanford has had a great spring and his recruitment keeps getting better. Lanford won a second straight SCISA State Championship back in March for the Cyclones. Lanford 6’9 will rise up in the 2018 Prep Hoops SC rankings when they will be published later this month. Lanford just brings a absolute toughness and grit every time he walks on the floor. Lanford carves out space in the paint and is extremely vocal on the floor.
Javon Anderson (2019) – Ridge View HS (Columbia) – Carolina Pressure 16U (pictured on front)
Anderson was a MVP at a Big Shots – Myrtle Beach event back earlier this spring. Anderson keeps on getting better with his perimeter play. Anderson has a endless motor on the floor. Anderson always seems to be around on the ball on every possession. Anderson should see good quality minutes for the Blazers this coming season. Anderson scored 15 and 14 points yesterday for the Carolina Pressure.
Destin Clark (2020) – Indian Land HS – Team Charlotte 15U
Clark is a physical specimen on the floor. Clark can play multiple positions on the floor. Clark 6’1 strong guard originally grew up in Sumter, SC and later moved to Charleston, SC he told Prep Hoops SC. Clark has been at Indian Land HS the past two seasons. Clark has great court vision and dives on the floor for every loose ball. Clark will be a household name in the years to come in the Palmetto State.
Adonis Davis (2021) – Blackville-Hilda HS – Central Carolina Force 14U
Davis has no position on the floor but just find the ball and you will see Davis. Davis scored 19 points in the Central Carolina Force victory today. Davis does his best work around the basket on put backs and loose change. Davis a thick bodied kid lacks perimeter skills but makes up for it with flat out determination. Davis has played varsity basketball and Head Coach Mike Beasley already at Blackville-Hilda HS. Davis was the Quarterback on the middle school football team to boot. Davis will play up on the Central Carolina Force 15U team at times.
