EYBL Indy: Top Five 2019 Performers
This past weekend was great in terms of finding high level talent. With the shoe company circuits in town, it afford us a great opportunity to see those players close up. Here are our Top 5 performers from this past weekend at EYBL.
Keion Brooks Jr. – 6’7 | SF | 2019 | Fort Wayne North (IN) | Spiece Indy Heat 2018 – Brooks has really just started to take off and is a sure fire top player nationally. Wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up in the Top 10 after these live periods. Even in his “off games” he still can drop 18 and 5 with ease. His athleticism looks improved and he second jump at the rim is crazy good allowing him to finish at a high rate.
Tyger Campbell – 6’0 | PG | 2019 | La Lumiere (IN) | Spiece Indy Heat 2018 – Campbell has been around the EYBL for a couple years now so he knows how to play at this level. He’s got great handles and vision so he can create really well off the bounce but his jumper looks more consistent. He’s flashy and creative which can make him fun to watch.
James Wiseman – 6’11 | PF | 2019 | Ensworth (TN) | Bradley Beal Elite 2018 – Wiseman is a long, lean forward who has really shown an ability to play up and down the floor. He’s become more capable of a scoring threat near the rim and has improved just as much as a rim protector.
Lance Jones – 6’0 | PG | 2019 | Evanston (IL) | Meanstreets 2019 – Lance is a talented guard with a great frame and tons of strength. He was really solid scoring the ball in the games we watched with his ability to drive and fend off defenders at the rim. Mixed in a solid jumper at times. Not going to be a highly sought after player but one that could be really intriguing.
E.J. Lidell – 6’7 | PF | 2019 | Belleville West (IL) | Bradley Beal Elite 2019 – Lidell is a long, lanky forward who looks to still be growing into his body. He’s more of a low post threat offensively but he’s more than capable of getting out and running the floor. Tons of athleticism and length make him a really good rim protector at this stage. Could be close to taking a jump with his talent.
