Dakota Prospects at the Pentagon: Top Playmakers & Shooters
Cole Benson– GF Red River- Benson is one of the top shooters from the weekend by making many contested three pointers. He also was able to create for himself and hit step back jumpers to make the defense stay honest.
Trace Goven- Rugby- Goven is an all out playmaker and was getting not only easy baskets for himself, but also his teammates. He pushed the ball up the floor every time he got it and wasn’t afraid of the responsibility to make something happen for his team.
Maleeck Harden-Moorhead– Harden played from the start of the weekend to the end with the same mentality of wanting to win. He crashed every offensive board and wasn’t satisfied unless he got it and put it back it.
Jaden Klabo- Fargo Davies- Klabo was one of the biggest playmakers of the weekend and is very comfortable having the all in his hands. His strength was driving the ball, but he made other plays off of that by pulling up or making easy passes to open teammates.
Mitch Larson- Fargo Davies- Larson is a sharpshooter and played that way in every game. He mostly shot set threes from kick outs or from running the floor on fast breaks. He also was able to create for himself with step backs and pull up jumpers.
Zach Wilber- Tea- Wilber was another player that was a shooter. Wilber’s game consists mostly from three and is ready on any kick out or fast break to let it fly.
Kade Amundson- Bismarck Century- Amundson played with a need to go as hard as he could and he made plays on both ends of the floor as a result. His high motor made all the hustle plays from offensive boards to diving on the floor and taking charges on defense.
Aaron Fiegen- Madison- Fiegen is always and comfortable to get the ball and make something happen. He has multiple threats as he can can finish with both hands and hit the outside shot.
Trevor Hanson- Sioux Valley- Hanson was both a playmaker and a shooter. His ability to make post moves and finish dump-offs lead to him step out and shoot the occasional three. He wasn’t necessarily hunting for that shot, but let it fly when he was open and his defender lost him in transition.
