Recruiting Report: Ethan Igbanugo (2017)
A whole new group of WOTN 17U players are underway with their spring season, but there’s a quality, defensive-minded wing from last season who is still available and fairly open to collegiate options.
Ethan Igbanugo (Lakeville North) is one of the few remaining seniors in the 2017 class’ top 100.
“I haven’t made a decision yet, and I’m still pretty open to other schools,” Igbanugo said. “I’ve been to the campuses St. Thomas, Augsburg, UW-River Falls and St. Cloud State.”
The television commentators on the state tournament broadcast incorrectly said Igbanugo was committed to Augsburg, but Igbanugo cleared that up. He’s uncommitted and has a few criteria that he values.
“I want to play at the highest level I can, but I also want somewhere that’s great academically. I want to play fast-paced and I want a coach that give his players some freedom. I’d like to get as much money off as I can too. I’ll be going for business.
“I definitely want an area with a lot of things to do and I’d rather have a bigger school than a smaller one, and I’d like to play as soon as possible… but I’m willing to work for a spot.”
