Five Points
One. This team is in the top and we think they have the potential to push to the top 15 or better. Nelson, Smith, Cunningham, Battist, and Davis are legit college prospects. Davis is the most interesting. He came from the south and had an excellent season playing both point and the wing. Thick shouldered and athletic Davis can play.
Two. The Fridley Tigers have a trio here. Evan Nelson may be the best PG that nobody knows about. Steady kid who can score and direct. Cunningham grabbed our attention as an explosive young kid and he’s starting to turn the corner. Finally, Nate Soto was a worker for the Tigers. Can the Tigers be good next year? This team will help the program greatly.
Three. Aaron Smith. Another player that needs to start being talked about. Smith plays for a good high school team, he works hard, gets consistent numbers, and has been patiently waiting for his day. It could come very soon.
Four. Battist’s big day. Alex played JV this year yes. But he put up a 37 spot last weekend and that wasn’t even the biggest moment! Alex also hit a buzzer beater for his team last weekend to get to a third win. Schools will be getting out to see him soon. Size is good and the results lately have been great!
Five. Yes Heat Pratt is 23rd. We don’t think they will stay that way. The season started off on a bad foot with the loss to WC United after losing to D1 Minnesota. Things then turned around with a big win over Comets Servaty and then they went 3-1 last weekend. The ranking is low as there is a bad loss but big wins will push them back up.
