Five Points
One. Heat Johnson is ranked 20th after beating Select Leafbald and the top North Dakota Phenom squad in the Comets Shootout. They went 1-1 in pool play but then won both of their consolation bracket games to start the year.
Two. Looking at the lead the wonder must be? Can Leo get a dozen a game for the Heat? That’s yet to be determined but Leo is a long player that we saw over the winter and he has some good potential. Can he be a main option? Let’s find out.
Three. Good players from good programs. Cole Anderson and Mac Wilner are wings that played JV this year on two of the best teams in the state. Watch these guys as sleeper producers and maybe even prospects. Both will likely have roles next year.
Four. Emmette Page is one I have my eye on. Osseo has some role players like Page coming back with Zach Theisen and Emmette is one that we saw play very well. Page could do some good things for the Heat.
Five. The rest of the group were relied by their high school teams this year as juniors. Some starters, some sixth men, all key pieces. Berg at Forest Lake is an agile player with potential, and Johnson was a nice player for the Bulls.
