Prospect Spotlight: Tavon Dipalma (2017)
Waynesville 2017 guard Tavon Dipalma is hoping a solid spring with the Missouri Flight ail translate into more college opportunities.

He has the ability to shoot off the catch and off the dribble and can also can drive to the basket well and finish around the basket.
Dipalma earned a starting spot for the Waynesville varsity after spending significant time working on his game in the offseason.
“t took a lot of hard work and dedication to get to that spot. I was in the gym in the morning before school and after school, staying after practice to get shots up,” he said. “This past season was not as good as I thought it was going to be. We just couldn’t find ways to come up with the win after close games. I had a pretty good season overall.”
Dipalma averaged double figures in points and was named to three All-Tournament teams, All-District, was honorable mention All-Ozark Conference, and Central Missouri Media Class 5 All-District team.
“My experience with Flight has been good so far. We went to the prep hoops Route 66 tournament and it was a good tournament overall,” he said. “I played decent over the course of the tournament. I had my best game against Memphis Magic. I will continue to improve throughout the course of the AAU season and continue to have good games.”
He says he plans to spend the offseason focused on all aspects of the game this offseason.
“I will focus on ball handling mostly to get ready for college next year,” he said. “I will also work on my strength and improve my focus. Also I will work on moving without the ball.”
Dipalma has heard from NAIA schools such as Graceland University, Bethel College, and Sterling College, as well as JUCOs such as Southwestern Community College, Kirkwood Community College, and Tacoma Community College.
