Prospect Spotlight: KeeShawn Chambers – (2019)
2019 Solario SF- KeeShawn Chambers attended the PrepHoopsIllinois Stock Up Showcase in late March. His play at the showcase quickly caught the eye of the Prep Hoops Staff where we had the chance to evaluate his game and catch up with the young athletic prospect. KeeShawn is a 6’6’’ Small Forward is an elite athlete. He plays his best, and is most comfortable from 15 feet in where he likes to work the baseline and mid post area to face up and use his athletic ability to get to the rim. He excels in transition and out on the break. He is also a football player and it shows as he has skillful hands and speed to get out on the break and finish with authority. He had several games at the showcase with multiple dunks in transition. The athleticism translates on the defensive end also where he can block shots and does an excellent job rebounding from the wing. KeeShawn has major upside as he continues to learn the game and improve his skillset he will certainly be a prospect to track.

Tell me a little bit about how your high school season went?

What did you improve on most during the high school season?
“I grew most in my ball handling, and being able to put the ball on the floor, being one of the players my teammates can look at to bring the ball up and handle pressure and beating my man off the dribble”.
How would you describe your game?
“Just a high motor high energy, and aggressive guy, I feel like I am very tough. I am not the most skilled player, but I go out and play as hard as I can”.
What are some areas of your game you’d like to improve?
“My ball handling and my shooting and just stepping out and hitting shots”.
Running with the Meanstreets this summer what are you looking forward to most?
