Prospect Spotlight: Charles Anderson (2019)
Michigan’s 27th-ranked 2019, Warren Woods Tower wing Charles Anderson enjoyed a nice sophomore season with the Titans and is eager for his 16U season to get into full-swing.
The 6-foot-2 shooting guard is a defensive stopper, and a capable lead guard or off-guard. He broke down is playing style to PHMI.
“I believe that my strengths are defense, and also helping my teammates get involved in the game. Also, I’m able to knock down open shots and get to the rim,” said Anderson. “I need to work on making my shots consistently.”
He averaged 12.5 points and 5.5 assists per game during his sophomore season, and shot north of 40 percent from beyond the arc. Most noteworthy are his 4.2 steals per game.
Still, Anderson says there’s much to improve.
“My sophomore season went well, but there is still things that I feel I could work on,” he said. “I am very hard on myself and I will continue to push myself,”
Now, he’s onto his 16U season, Anderson will play with The Elite this spring and summer, all while running track. And though he has no college interest just yet, the goal is for his recruitment to pick up.
“Goals for the spring and summer are to continue to get better so that I can work on getting a scholarship,” said Anderson.
“This summer I am hoping to improve on my skills and become more consistent in my game. I have a good group of people behind me which is pushing me to be better, and I’m determined to get it done.”
