“I really like their passion for the game and their grit on the court. The team always shows up and encourages
each other and has bought into what me and my assistant coach are saying and it shows when they play”
said GSF Unified Head Coach Matt DeHart. DeHart is a full-time student at Bob Jones University.
Case Roach
Case Roach, Derrick Fields and Sam Brown all saw great minutes this season on the varsity level for
Traveler’s Rest HS.
Roach 6’3 is a vocal player on the floor who really has a great ability to recognize defenses very well. Roach
averaged 7.8 ppg for the Dirt Devils this season.
Derrick Fields
Fields stands at 6’2 and plays so much bigger than his size. Fields is a stat sheet stuffer on the floor. Fields
really defends the passing lanes and is extremely on both ends of the floor. Fields can really finish on contact well.
Fields averaged 10.1 ppg, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.6 steals this season.
Sam Brown
Brown has a great nose for the ball and feel for the game. Brown is a great system player. Brown’s
brother Andrew plays basketball at Furman.
Will Pitts
Will Pitts and Ben Jones both Greenville HS products rounded out the starters for GSP Unified.
Pitts works block to block in the paint and plays very aggressive in the post. Jones 5’11 point guard gets into
the lane and has the ability to hit the 15-17 foot jumper.
