Prep Hoops was able to watch Aiken Select 16 a few weeks back at the Icebreaker Invitational in North
Augusta, SC. Aiken Select is a not a very big team at all on the floor but they do play there butts off
with intensity on the floor.
Jadakiss Wright
Jadakiss Wright is the leader on this team and plays at 2A Silver Bluff HS. Wright a shooting guard
has deep range on his shot. Wright helped the Bulldogs to the playoffs before a early round setback
to Garrett Academy. Wright averaged 12.5 ppg and 2.4 rebounds this season.
Desmond Murray
Desmond Murray and KeShawn Toney provide a good inside presence for the Aiken Select program.
The Murray and Toney duo provide post player for Aiken Select along with there Williston-Elko Blue Devils
squad. Murray 6’3 small forward averaged 11.2 ppg and 7.3 rebounds this season in high school. Murray
is a bit of tweener on the floor hasn’t really figured out where he’s best suited to play.
Toney is a big-time football recruit in the years to come. Toney a starter since freshman season plays
wide receiver on the football field. Toney will visit Georgia Tech this coming weekend. Toney averaged
14.5 ppg and 9.2 rebounds this season for the Blue Devils. Toney was not playing with Aiken Select during the
Icebreaker Invitational.
Frank Lee (pictured on front) was a bit of surprise for Aiken Select. Lee plays for the Orangeburg-
Wilkinson Bruins. Lee didn’t play much on his high school squad since he came back late to the team
after having a injury during the high school football season. Lee is built like a tank and has a good upside
and really likes to draw contact on the floor.
