South Carolina North vs. South All-Star Game
Brookland-Cayce Lloyd Hemming three-pointer with 48.4 left to gave the South-All Stars the 103-102 lead for good. The South-All Stars closed the game on a 12-2 run to win 106-102 at the 69th Annual South Carolina Basketball Coaches North vs. South All-Star Game at Lexington High.
Tyrell Oglesby (Chapman) and Keith Matthews (Blythewood) were named the MVP of the game.Oglesby scored 13 points in the game. Matthews added 11 points in the game for the South squad.
The North lead the game at the half at 58-52. Jackson Alexander (Woodmont) led the North in the first half coming off the bench to score 11 of his 13 points. The South blew a 19-8 lead with 15-minute left in the first half Jackson Alexander three and foul gave the North the lead a t 25-24 with less than 11 min left in the first half. The South was led by Darius Bryant (Lexington) who scored 13 of his 16 points in the first half.
Ta’Seon Johnson (Timberland) scored a game-high 17 points. Nehemiah McGriff (Lancaster) led the North with 16 points.
Kaiden Rice (Ridge View) a Citadel commit, Tae Cannon (Dorman) a Catawba University commit and Cameron Wormack (Westwood) each had 11 points for the North.
The rest of the north scorers were: Luke Brenegan (Wade Hampton) had seven points, Lewis Turman (Calhoun Falls Charter) Rod Culver (Fox Creek), Andrew Milner (Clover) each had six points, Rodriquez Marshall (Keenan) had five points and Jaquan Holmes (Hillcrest) was only player to not score.
Hemming scored all of his nine points in the second half for the South. Jamal Bryant (Wilson) a UNC-Pembroke commit had 13 points and Blake Walker (Wilson) added 11 points.
The rest of the South scorers: Jaquan Felton (Marion) a late addition scored six points, Desmond Pressley (Hemingway) scored four points, Caleb Shackleford (Lexington) had four points, Rodney “RJ” Gunn (Irmo) had four points, and Matthew Garay (Beaufort) had two points.
Lutwon Burton didn’t participate in the game and was replacd by Andrew Milner Clover.
Felton replaced JaCor Nelson (Lower Richland). Nelson was hurt in the Class 4A State Championship game a few weeks back.
