Recruiting Report: Shon Robinson (2020)
Morgan Park 2020 power forward Shon Robinson is one of the premier post prospects in his class. He played most of the year on the sophomore team for the Mustangs where he posted big numbers. At 6’8” Robinson has great size and length. He will definitely need to add strength on over the next few years, but he has plenty of time for that. Runs the floor great and has mobility around the hoop finishing well. Potential as a rim protector down the line.
Robinson talked about his first season of high school basketball.
“The sophomore team has been going great. We have been winning and it has been good. I have been putting up even bigger numbers that in the summer league so that is good.”
How will being the man on the sophomore team help him the next three years?
“It will prepare me for next year because most of our sophomores are going to move up. It will make me a better player long term.”
Robinson spoke about what he likes to do on the floor.
“A stretch forward that runs the floor, rebounds, and shoots.”
Not much early in the recruiting process although he did visit one Big 10 program last summer.
“I took a visit to Illinois last summer.”
Look for Robinson to make noise this spring on the circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire.
