Recruiting Report: Neshawn Brooks (2017)
Peoria Manual 2017 point guard Neshawn Brooks is an underrated central Illinois guard. With all of the injuries Manual has dealt with this season Brooks has been a rock. He has a strong body and that combined with his quickness off the dribble allows him to get in the lane where he scores with runners and acrobatic layups. Plus mid-range shooter that drills them on a regular basis as he creates good separation. Struggles with turnovers. Worth a look at the JUCO level.
He spoke about his strengths as a player.
“My strengths are ball handling and attacking the rim aggressively.”
Brooks ran with the Peoria Heat in the summer
“It went pretty well. When Romon Douglas Watkins went down we had to pick it up as a team.”
Illinois Central College is the only program really showing him much interest at this point.
