Recruiting Report: Lenell Henry (2017)
Morgan Park 2017 power forward Lenell Henry has played strong down the stretch for the Mustangs. He is starting to put more together on the offensive end. Uses nice spin move in the post to score. Improved post game this year. Gets on the offensive glass for put backs. When he is engaged and playing with a motor along with being aggressive he has the athletic and physical tools to do damage. It is just about consistency with him. Henry remains one of the better unsigned post prospects in the state. We see him as a quality D2 prospect.
How has his senior year gone?
“It has gone well. I have been averaging a double double late in the season. I have improved in the post lately. I have been able to score when I catch it. I have been able to rebound and been a good leader. Realizing I am a senior and have to step up.”
A pair of colleges have shown interest in him.
“Chicago State and Alabama A&M and a few more.”
Chicago State and Mississippi Valley State have extended an offer to the four man. Henry ran with the Mac Irvin Fire last spring in the Nike EYBL.
