Recruiting Report: Justin Ruhberg (2017)
St Charles guard Justin Ruhberg returned from a serious leg injury to help St. Charles this season and is now committed to play in the WIAC.
As a sophomore Justin put up 18 plus points per game but then as a junior teammates stepped up and the team improved. Justin played point guard, scored 15 a game including 38 percent from the arc with 3.4 assists, 2.5 steals, and three boards a game. Next came the devastating ACL injury that limited Ruhberg’s mobility.

“I came back early from ACL surgery and unfortunately re-injured my ACL early in my comeback but decided to finish the season out and get it checked out at the end of the season,” Justin told NHR.
“I was able to reach a 1000 points during the season and help my team to sub section runner up. This spring I will be having ACL surgery again.”
When healthy Justin is a top 50-75 talent in this senior class. He hasn’t been healthy recently but schools knew that he can play. One Wisconsin school kept after Justin and he will be on the team when healthy again down the road.
“I have committed to attend University of Wisconsin La Crosse this fall and will be apart of the basketball team as a grey shirt/manager as I rehab and recover from my second surgery,” Justin said.
“By doing this I will save a year of eligibility and my goal is to try and get my skill level back to compete for a spot on the basketball team the following year.”
We all wish Justin the best of luck.
