Recruiting Report: Daniel Oladapo (2018)
Daniel Oladapo was one of many class of 2018 standouts at the Metro Challenge, and this wasn’t much of a surprise given the fantastic season he turned in at Bladensburg. The high energy forward was a double-double machine, and led his team in scoring as well as made free throws.
“I’d say I’m an all around basketball player,” Oladapo, a native of Bladensburg, explained about his style of play. “I can get my teammates involved. Score for myself. Just an all around playmaker.”
When Oladapo says he started playing late, he means it. It’s not easy to believe that he’s only been playing for two years, but Oladapo says he just got serious about basketball in ninth grade.
“I just worked my tail off,” said Oladapo, who finished top 6 in scoring, rebounding, and field goal percentage at the Metro Challenge.

Oladapo received recent offers from Bowie State, and Virginia Union. JMU, Longwood, High Point, and Mount St. Mary’s are among the other programs he’s hearing from at the moment.
“I would have to say my ball handling and my IQ are getting better,” Oladapo stated. “I bring energy to my team.”
Oladapo posted a 3.8 GPA this quarter, and will be playing with New World on the Adidas Gauntlet. What can Oladapo bring to a college program?
“I can bring playmaking skills.”
