Recruiting Report: Brevyn Spann-Ford (2018)
The St. Cloud Tech Tigers are 21-5 and await their spot in sections. Leading the way is two sport standout Brevyn-Spann Ford.
“The season has been great, we have improved a lot from the start of the season,” Brevyn told NHR.
Tech seems likely to get the three seed (depends on what happens with Rogers tonight) which would put them against Brainerd in round one and likely a match-up with Rogers in the semi-finals.
If Tech is the two seed they will face Buffalo in round one (most likely) and then likely play Rogers. Either way, Spann-Ford is the biggest threat in the section not playing for Maple Grove. His game continues to improve.
“This year I’ve had to play with the ball in my hands a little more than last season and have played as more of a distributor,” Spann-Ford explained.
“I feel like my game has been more of a smarter approach this year and have improved on some defensive things.”
Brevyn is only worried about playoff basketball right now.
“We will probably have the two seed with Maple Grove at the 1, great team this year,” Brevyn said.
“We look to make it to the section final just as many teams do.”
Brevyn is a two sport star who first was offered in basketball by North Dakota State but has since earned football offers from Iowa State, South Dakota, South Dakota State, and other programs in football.
“More schools have been talking to me for football recruiting lately but I’m getting mail from Nebraska, and Drake often (for basketball).”
