Recruiting News and Updates
Plenty of coaching moves happen this time every year. Some players here in the Palmetto State
now have to decide what they want to do next season. Prep Hoops takes a look at recruiting news and
updates here in this segment.
Mamoudou Diarra is ranked #3 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season. Diarra played at 22Ft Academy
this season. Diarra recently received his release from the University of Washington after then Head Coach
Lorenzo Romar was let go. Cincinnati, North Carolina State,Wichita State, Mississippi State and SMU
have inquited about the post player since his release.
Jordan Davis
Jordan Davis is ranked #4 in the Prep Hoops 125 this season. Davis is currently committed to Dayton but is still
waiting to decide what do next season with the departure of Archie Miller to Indiana. Davis was named the 5A
State Player of the Year for the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes this season. Davis won the 4A State Player of the Year
during his junior season. Davis recently played in the NC-SC All Star Game.
Duane Moss
Duane Moss only played 9 games this season before getting injured. Moss is ranked #8 in the Prep Hoops
Top 125. Moss had signed with Youngstown State but as of earlier today he still hadn’t heard from the new
staff. Moss averaged 13.8 ppg and 6.4 rebounds this season for the Carolina Forest Panthers. Moss 6’7 is the
son of Coastal Carolina Assistant Coach Benny Moss.
Jalen Cameron
Jalen Cameron recently visited Radford University and Campbell University came in yesterday to see him
play according to West Florence Head Coach Pete Ellis. Cameron is ranked #16 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Cameron averaged 17.5 ppg and 9.8 rebounds for the (20-6) Knights this year. Cameron finished his
career with 1,530 points.
