Prospect Spotlight: Nimari Burnett (2020)
Morgan Park freshman Nimari Burnett is one of the premier guard prospects in the state’s 2020 class. Uber talented prospect that plays complimentary role for the Mustangs in his first year of high school ball. Good athlete that is smooth with the rock in his hands. Gets where he wants to get his shot off. Doesn’t get rattled playing against older competition.
He told us how his freshman year has gone.
“It is going good. I have been having a lot of fun with the team. They have been pushing me to go hard all the time in practice and the games. I love the coaching staff and how they are pushing me. I have adjusted better than I thought. I feel more comfortable in the game. As the season has progressed I feel better.”
What are the strengths of his game?
“I can shoot the ball very well and my playmaking ability is really good.”
Burnett should attract D1 interest this spring and summer on the circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire.
