Prospect Spotlight: Isaiah Fuller (2018)
OPRF junior Isaiah Fuller is a lead guard that is making strides in his game. The 6’1” 2018 point guard has really improved his ability to run a team. Shows good feel in the half court for running the show and getting others involved. Makes sound decisions with the rock in his hands passing the ball. Not a great perimeter shooter at this stage from what we have seen, but can score off the bounce getting in the lane for floaters and makes regular trips to the charity stripe. Rebounds well for a point guard. Potential D2 prospect in the junior class.
Fuller spoke about his junior campaign.
“I think I have really elevated my game from a sophomore to a junior after playing AAU with Team Rose. We took a couple tough losses, but then bounced back to win the conference.”
The 2018 guard went into depth about where he feels he has improved.
“I think my jump shot has gotten better since the beginning of the season. My facilitating as a point guard has gotten better and just being a better leader overall.”
What are his strengths as a player?
“I can pass the ball and can get to the basket with ease. Coach told me to be a pass first point guard. I try to do that first and then get my own points.”
Nothing going on with recruiting at this stage. He will be playing with Team Rose once again this spring. Look for the interest to start to pick up some in April.
