Player Of The Week: Bryce Irsfeld
Bryce Irsfeld’s first career triple-double came with a 28-point, 15-rebound and 13-assist game last week in a 75-70 Browerville win over St. Cloud Apollo.
That huge performance and the support of his community helped launch Bryce straight to Player Of The Week honors.
Northstar Hoops connected with Bryce to see how the post-season is going for Browersville.
“We are in the sub-section championship game tonight against Kimball,” Irsfeld said. “The other sub-section game is Nevis versus Verndale. We have not played Kimball this year, but they beat us last year early in the season. They are a good team and we will have to play well to get a win. So far we are 24-4 on the year. All four losses were to quality teams, but were winnable games for us.”
He went on to detail what makes Browerville so effective as a team.
“We have a nice balanced scoring attack with our starting five,” he said. “Usually we are able to find the hot hand from one of the five and play off of them. Hopefully we are all clicking tonight, because we are an unselfish group who only cares about the win.”
Congrats to Bryce and thanks again to our sponsor, Intensive Basketball Camps.
