Recruiting Update: Dylan Brower
Dylan Brower had a great senior year and that has lead to several junior college offers. Check out our interview with him.
How did your season go for you and your team?
“The season went well for the most part but I feel like we didn’t play great down the stretch. Personally, I played very well on offensive and defense. My mid-season concussion set me back a little bit but I was able to recover and play well.””
What are your strengths you can bring to a college team?
“I’m good on both ends of the floor and feel like I’m a versatile player. I can shoot the ball and attack the rim pretty well. On defense, I can guard post players and perimeter players which can be useful at the next level.”
What are some weaknesses you need to work on?
“I need to get in the weight room for the college level. This is my biggest focus going into the off-season. I also need to improve my ball ball handling so I can take guy’s off the dribble at the college level.”
What college are recruiting you?
“I have been offered by Southwestern Oregon Community College, Lane Community College, and Centrailia College. I’m also getting interest College of Eastern Utah, Blue Mountain Community College, Dawson Community College, and Miles City Community College.”
Favorite hobby?
“I enjoy boating with my family during the summer.”
How are your acadmeics?
“I have a 3.5 GPA and 25 ACT.”
What do you want to major in?
“I would like to become a high school teacher and basketball coach. ”
Prep Hoops Evaluation:
If Brower dedicates himself to the weight room he will be an ideal stretch four at the junior college level. His ability to shoot the ball and take his guy to hole is very valuable. Brower needs to work on some post moves to score in the paint at the next level. I project Brower being able to play at the high NAIA level after two years of junior college.
