Kanaan is a big shouldered post that can score off the dribble, shoot from beyond the three-point line, grab rebounds and bang with bigger players down low. He averaged 14 points and almost 9 rebounds per game this past season. He has long arms and can block shots. He makes the plays that win games and is tough as nails. He doesn’t back down from bigger players and is as strong as an ox. He has played his best basketball in the playoffs and has Wren HS playing as a team the best it has all season.
Only Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina and Southern Wesleyan University have showed any interest in Kanaan. He would fit well into a three or four position at the next level with his ability to step out and knock down the three-point shot and take the ball to the basket off the dribble. He scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds aginst Eastside HS at the Upper State finals this past Friday.
Wren HS will take on Lower-Richland HS in the state championship at Colonal Life Arena on The University of South Carolina campus this weekend and coaches should take a look at Kanaan.
