Class 1A
Charleston Collegiate 57 Anderson Christian 46
The Sun Devils have now won back to back State Titles under Head Coach Jay Godbolt. The school has captured its 3rd title since 2014. The Sun Devils defeated the Lions last season to win a state championship.
The Sun Devils were led in scoring by the senior duo of Shelby Grimes and Nolan Knox. Grimes finished with 22 points and Knox dropped in 16 points.
Class 2A
Spartanburg Day Academy 76 Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach 51
The Zion Williamson show lives on. Williamson (2018) has just had a unreal season in leading the Griffins to back to back state championships. Williamson was so impressive yesterday he scored 51 points in the victory over the Saints. Chandler Lindsey added 11 points in the win.
Williamson scored all 13 points for Spartanburg Day in the firs quarter and had 21 points at halftime. The Griffins led 31-16 at halftime.
Williamson finished the season with 1,292 points and a 36.9 ppg in 35 games played. Williamson has now scored 2,592 career points entering his senior year next season. The Griffins finished the season at (29-6)
Richmond bound Bryce Schneider finished his high school career with 15 points and Michael Green (2019) also added 15 points in the loss. Justin Busby played his last high school basketball and registered 9 points and Samuel Woods chipped in 8 points.
The Saints finished the season at (20-12)
Class 3A
Porter Gaud 55 Cardinal Newman 44
The Cyclones finish the season at 24-4 under Head Coach John Pearson. The Cyclones have won back to back state titles before heading back home to Chucktown.
Josiah James (2019) led the way for the winners with 13 points. Aaron Nesmith (2018) added 11 points and Jake Lanford (2018)and guard Dante Smith (2017) scored 10 points apiece.
Patrick Ready (2018) took high honors home for the Cardinals in the loss with 16 points. Christiaan Jones added 11 points in his last high school game for the Cardinals. Chico Carter Jr. added 8 points while Brandon Martin (2017) and Wynston Andrews (2017) both scored 5 and 4 points respectively.
The Cyclones led the from the start at cruised to a 27-12 halftime lead and never looked back.
