There’s been some JuCos that have shown interest in the senior floor-general, and one of them in particular has caught Bracey’s attention the most.
“I’m talking to a couple colleges and I definitely want to play next year,” said Bracey.
Blue Mountain Community College, Wenatchee Valley Community College, and Great Falls College are the three programs talking with him now.
He recently visited one of them and came away intrigued.
“I’m supposed to visit Blue Mountain in April, and that’s my target school right now; that’s where I want to go,” said Bracey.
“I went a watched them play the other day at North Idaho, and I really just liked their coach and how their program is set up.”
The ultimate goal, after a potential two years in Pendleton, OR, is Division I basketball.
“Two years from now if I could play D1, that’s the goal,” said Bracey. “But I’m just ready to start college ball next year and just see what I can do.”
A big-bodied guard, Bracey says finishing at the hoop through contact is a strength of his. And he’s hoping to use two years at a JuCo to improve his speed and defense.
“I’m pretty good at getting to the basket and finishing through contact, and then my passing is a strength of mine too,” said Bracey, who reflected on his senior season with the Knights.
“They needed me to play a little bit of defense and then to distribute the ball. My role was to score when needed, and just help Jeremiah (Hilliard) with scoring.”
Bracey added: “I feel like I need to get a little bit stronger, faster, and my on-ball defense needs to get a little bit better.”
