What stands out about Liam Lyman is he is a versatile player. On offense Lyman, can shoot it from deep as well as dribble drive where he likes to work the mid-range. On defense, he can guard multiple positions using his frame to body up against taller players. He is a D2-low major prospect who at the next level will need to improve his handle and quickness to be effective out on the perimeter to contribute early on.
I caught up with Liam to talk about how his game has developed.
“I have really been working on when someone closes out on me to work the mid-range and hit the shots”
From the Summer with the Illinois Stars to now in your senior year what aspects of your game have you been working to improve?
“I have definitely brought up my defensive game I have really been working on shutting down my match up and working on the defensive end, and on the boards, also creating off the dribble for my teammates is something I have really improved on”
Senior year what’s the latest in your recruitment?
“I have two offers right now from Malone College, and Michigan Tech and have been hearing a lot from other D2’s and a couple low D-1 schools”
Lyman has taken visits to both Malone and Michigan Tech.
