This kid can really shoot the basketball from the perimeter. Best off the catch, but can also drill triples pulling up in transition. Mixes in some slashes and scores in the open floor. Potential defensively.
Boyd spoke about his junior year with the Dolphins.
“It is going pretty good. We are gelling as a team. Our senior Lucas Williamson is guiding us in the right direction for state and city. I think I am doing well this year. Improved on my shot and my mid-range. Also improved my ball handling.”
How was his summer with Meanstreets and where did he feel he improved as a player?
“It was good. We finished in the elite 8 at Peach Jam. I improved my dribbling. I did better in the summer working on my ball handling and built my confidence.”
No offers yet, but three colleges are showing interest.
“Tulsa, Eastern Illinois, and Drake.”
