The Patriots are off for a week until the WDA playoffs begin with Mandan at the Bismarck Civic Center next Thursday.
“The season has gone pretty well, we had a few tough ones on the road, but we’re starting to figure out what we can do when we play together,” Josh said.
Sipes has put up 13.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and he leads the team in steals this season. Josh has hit on 50 percent of his ten shots a game including making 41 percent of his 71 three-point attempts.
“I would say my outside shooting and ball handling has improved a lot from last year, those are the main things that stick out to me,” Sipes said.
Sipes is really excited about the WDA Tournament coming up with the potential to play in the state tournament.
“We’re looking good, we’re playing some of our best basketball right now and I feel like we have a chance to make a run, we just can’t make these games bigger than they really are and just play our brand of basketball,” Josh stated.
After the season Sipes will next turn his basketball attention to ECI Basketball which includes playing in front of college coaches and earning future opportunities. Four schools are in contact already.
“I’ve visited U of Mary and Minnesota State-Moorhead and Minot State but for now I’m trying to keep my mind on the season,” Josh said. “I’ve been talking to Valley City State as well.”
