Understands how manage his team in a half court set. Quality vision as a distributor. Handles it well in traffic. Like what he brings to the table as a shooter both off the catch from three and pulling up from mid-range. Big time D3/NAIA priority kid!
Wolfe is leading Effingham to a stellar season!
“It is going great. We are scoring a lot of points. Between me, Jacob Donaldson, and Landon Wolfe we are scoring a lot. I am scoring about the same as I did last year with less shots which is good being more efficient. We have shooters that can stroke it so I try to get it to them. Drive and kick. A lot of the same things I do in AAU.”
Where has his game evolved the most?
“Shooting from deep. I have made a lot more threes. Passing too because last year I had to score more. This year I have been able to pass more.”
He enjoyed running with the Illinois Bears one last time on the circuit this past summer.
“It was good. I think we won a lot of games. We made it to a couple final fours. We shot it well. We shoot a lot of threes in the run and gun.”
Wolfe updated us on his recruitment.
“Illinois Wesleyan is really high up there. Their coaches are on me a lot. Cedarville is a D2 in Ohio that is on me. Minnesota State has been talking to my coach with the Bears Justin Barrington. Millikin and Augustana have talked to me too.”
He has visited Cedarville, Millikin, and Illinois Wesleyan. What is his timetable for a decision?
“Probably after the season. I want to finish the season and then decide where I am going to go after that.”
