Prospect Spotlight: Le Davis (2018)
Walker junior Le Davis is gaining plenty of experience as the team’s starting point guard this season, and is looking forward to an important 17U season ahead.
The 5-foot-8 floor-general is equal parts sharpshooter and distributor, and defined his playing style recently to PHLA.
“I can space the floor out with 3-point shooting, I can find open teammates and I can handle the ball pretty decent,” said Davis.
“I do still need to work on my ball-handling, and I’m working on my on-ball defense.”
As his junior season with the Wildcats winds down, Davis reflected on what his role has been this season.
“I’ve mostly been used to space the floor, and for a kick-out, spot-up guy,” he said. “I think I’ve played pretty solid this season, but I could have played better.”
When his junior season comes to a close, he’ll dive right into what will be a very important spring and summer. Last offseason he played with Louisiana Gators, but Davis says he’s not sure who he’ll play with this offseason.
Regardless of who he’s running with, the objective remains the same.
“My goal is to get to college and play ball. I haven’t really gotten any recruitment yet. I’m just going into my summer not really expecting anything, but just going to see how it works out,” said Davis.
“Hopefully I’m playing good, and can get some scholarships.”
