A sharpshooter with good size who can take it to the rim, Dandy defined his current playing style to PHLA.
“I like shooting, and I’m best at shooting. I also like to get to the rack and I can finish around the rim,” he said. “I need to work on my ball-handling, and defense is a major thing I need to work on too.”
Currently in the midst of his junior season with the Roneagles, Dandy says he’s pleased with how he’s been playing so far this season.
“I’ve been playing very well and I’ve been having some good games,” he said. “And the goal is to just try and get down to state and win.”
Though he’s played with one of the state’s best grassroots programs and is ranked 45th in Louisiana’s 2018 rankings, Dandy says his recruitment has yet to start.
He’s confident that will occur this offseason.
“Not yet, but schools will come though. And ya, I feel like like I’m under the radar, I just haven’t been on the right teams,” said Dandy. “I’m looking to get some offers this summer.”
The 6-foot-4 junior told PHLA that he’ll play with New Orleans Elite on the adidas circuit this spring and summer.
“I’m just trying to get to college as a player, and during this summer I think that could happen,” said Dandy.
