Today we take a look at one player I will admit I missed out on earlier this season. This is what happens when you hit the back roads you will come upon a player that nobody knows anything about.
Johama Tisdale – C.E. Murray (Greeleyville) (pictured #22)
Tisdale a left-handed point guard is a virtual unknown the basketball court. Tisdale is averaging 17.3 ppg, 3.8 assists and 2.5 steals this season. The War Eagles are just (4-17) on which could be the most misleading record in the state. Many players played football all the way through December and just 1 player on the roster has played in every game.
“Johama plays at a very good pace while on the floor. Johama has the ability to direct the offense and is very unselfish” said Prep Hoops Bret Swanson.
Tisdale just 5’10 can push the tempo and knockdown open shots. The War Eagles will open up at home vs St John’s on Tuesday. Tisdale played wide receiver this season for the War Eagles and recorded 11 receptions and had 59 tackles and 4 interceptions on the defensive side.
Tisdale was named Region 5-A Player of the Year. The team record is not great but this kid can really play the game. I really liked the way he guided his teammates on the floor and took control of the game with no fist pounding or chest bumping.
Greeleyville is just a town of roughly 415 people off the side of the road lies C.E. Murray High School in Williamsburg County. The trip is worth it too see Tisdale play and his War Eagles teammates. While on the trip I ran across a nice underclassmen for the future.
