Player Interview: Puka Nacua
Orem- At 6’2 and 190 pounds, Puka Nacua may be the strongest guard in the state of Utah. Puka is an exceptional athlete, with a rare blend of size, strength, and speed for the point guard position. He can shift gears in a hurry and plays with great poise and confidence.
Starting last year as a freshman had many people in the state wondering if he was ready to play at the varsity level and he most definitely proved it. Nacua is second to none with elite lateral quickness and strength as a defender and ball handler. When he gets a full head of steam in transition it is nearly impossible to keep him from getting in the paint and finishing at the rim.
Puka is a true point guard, making everyone better on the floor that he is playing with. Nacua is an elite wide receiver on the grid iron and has expressed interest in having the opportunity playing both collegiately. Puka plays for Utah prospects and is currently being recruited by Washington, BYU, Standford, and Utah.
