PF Chris Payton (Bloomington)
Payton was outstanding at the Pontiac Holiday Tournament. The sophomore power forward dominated the glass and was a major presence defensively blocking and altering shots. Offensively most of his points come on dunks. If skill set improves he will continue to rise. Moved from #17 to #10. Mid-major prospect.
PF Khalid Herron (Phoenix Military Academy)
Herron is built like a football player at 6’5” with a thick and physical body. The Phoenix Military Academy 2019 post is a volume rebounder that gobbles them up in bunches. Boxes out and wins 50/50 boards. Motor helps him rebound outside of his area as well. Offensively he is a bit raw, but shows power finishing with dunks. If this kid grows a couple more inches watch out. Quality post defender as well. Unranked to #29.
PF Jackson Tanner (Latin)
Tanner is a prospect that is going to be interesting to track his progress because there are some aspects of his game to get excited about. At 6’6” he has a frame where he should continue to grow. Struggles a bit finishing, but with added strength to his frame over the next couple years that should help. Tanner is an outstanding rebounder on both ends. Good feel for where it is coming off the glass and snatching it with both hands. Makes rankings debut at #30.
PF Keenon Cole (Streamwood)
Cole stands at 6’6” with big time athleticism. He plays with a non-stop motor and is bouncy around the hoop getting on the glass. The Streamwood sophomore is a bit raw skill wise, but his combination of raw athleticism and frame make him intriguing and a prospect we will be watching closely. Moves into rankings at #31.
