#31 – Jamal Bryant – Wilson (Florence) (pictured on front)
Bryant led the Tigers to a (21-1) season this year. Bryant a UNC-Pembroke (NCAA D2) commit averaged 15 ppg and 7.5 rebounds this season. The Tigers lost in the Lower State Championship game to Lower Richland 46-43.
Bryant scored 12 points in his last high school game to Lower Richland at the Florence Civic Center. Bryant finished his career with 1,116 points.
#32 – Rodney “RJ” Gunn – Irmo
Gunn 6’7 has grown some roughly 4 inches in the past year. Gunn ran AAU with the G.W.P. Sixers. Gunn averaged 12 ppg and 6 rebounds this season for the (22-6) Yellow Jackets. Gunn will play in the South Carolina North-South All Star Game on March 18.
#33 – Quise Robbins – Clover
Robbins 6’1 combo guard was named All-Region for the Blue Eagles this season. Robbins eclipsed the 1,000 points plateau back in January 2017.
Justin Busby
#34 – Justin Busby – Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach
Busby helped the Saints to the SCISA 2A State Championship. Busby 6’0 off guard averaged 16.2 ppg, 3.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists this season. Busby played the first 3 years at Waccamaw HS. Busby finished his high school career with 1,360 career points.
Busby tells Prep Hoops he plans to visit UNC-Pembroke and Newberry this spring. Busby tends to play AAU this spring as a unsigned senior with Big Shots Elite.
#35 – Tayler Wade – Midland Valley (Graniteville)
Wade 5’11 point guard anveraged 14.8 ppg, 4.4 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals this season for the Mustangs. Wade was recently named to the South Carolina North-South Game. Wade finished his career with the Mustangs with 1,122 points.
The Mustangs lost in the playoffs to Eastside (Taylors) 51-43.
Lloyd Hemming
#36 – Lloyd Hemming – Brookland-Cayce
Hemming 6’4 small forward was named Class 3A State Player of the Year this season. Hemming will play in the South Carolina North-South All Star Game.
Hemming averaged 20 ppg and 5.5 rebounds this year for the Bearcats. Hemming ran AAU with the G.W.P. Sixers last summer. The Bearcats finished the season at (18-9).
Benedict, Lander, Limestone, Newberry, North Greenville and Augusta University (GA) have all shown interest in Hemming this spring.
Blake Walker
#37 – Blake Walker – Wilson (Florence)
Walker a point guard was a fixture in the Tigers lineup for the past 4 years. Walker finished his career with 1,153 points. Walker averaged 10 ppg, 5.1 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 4.4 assists for the Tigers. The Tigers lost to Lower Richland in the Lower State Championship.
Walker received a scholarship offer from Francis Marion (SC) NCAA D2 earlier this season. Walker will join his teammate Jamal Bryant to play in the South Carolina North-South All Star Game.
Nehemiah McGriff
#38 – Nehemiah McGriff – Lancaster
McGriff has signed to play at Limestone (SC) (NCAA D2) next season. McGriff will play in the South Carolina North-South All Star Game on March 18 at Lexington HS.
Jalen McKelvey
#39 – Jalen McKelvey – Southside (Greenville)
McKelvey has his Tigers squad in the Class 3A State Championship game vs Dillon this weekend at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. McKelvey a 5’10 scoring guard has piled up numbers all season long for the Tigers.
McKelvey has been on the varsity the past 2 seasons and finally has taken off with his play. The Tigers (26-1) beat Clinton 71-43 in the Upper State Championship Game. McKelvey scored 23 points in the win.
Damon McDowell
#40 – Damon McDowell – Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach)
McDowell a left-handed off guard was dismissed from the team in January 2017. McDowell a slender-sleek athlete averaged 12 ppg before being dismissed from the team. McDowell played a very limited senior season since he got hurt back in the fall playing football in the season opener. McDowell more than likely will entertain junior college options this spring.
