Simon Grant
Best Offensive Player : Simon Grant – Dreher (2018)
Grant found ways to score the ball all night long for the Blue Devils. Grant would attack the basket or try a nice little 10 foot jumper. Grant finished the evening with 24 points in the win.
Best Defensive Player : Emorie Knox – Myrtle Beach (2020)
Knox just a freshman was around the ball all night long. Knox had unofficially 6 steals that led to transition baskets for the Seahawks.
Travis “TJ” Brown
Best Intangibles : Travis “TJ” Brown – Dreher (2018)
Brown finished with 9 points tonight in the victory. Brown a 6’4 wing player handled the rock most of the night for the Blue Devils. Brown likes to play with some swag on the floor.
Best Guy off the Bench : Dreshaun Jones – Dreher (2017)
Jones didn’t play until the 2nd half tonight for the Blue Devils. Jones personally put the Blue Devils and scored 11 points in the 4th quarter this evening to win the game. Jones sat out the first half over a coach’s decision – discipline move.
Best Under the Radar Performance : Robert Swanson – Myrtle Beach (2018)
Swanson is just a crafty point guard that makes his teammates better every game. Swanson really has the ability to turn the corner well and find the open man. Swanson has the ability to knock down shots.
Best Underclassmen : Emorie Knox – Myrtle Beach (2020)
Knox finished the night with 20 points in the loss. Knox plays very poised and mature for his age on the floor.
Best Project to Watch : Simon Grant – Dreher (2018)
Grant just 5’10 finds ways to score the ball for the Blue Devils. Grant lived at the foul line tonight. Grant is just that guy that seems to make plays at the right time to put his team in position to win the game.
Best Takeaway :
The Seahawks end the season at home on a sorrow note. Jaquan Chestnut played his last game and finished with 5 points. The Blue Devils don’t have a kid over 6’4 on the roster. The Blue Devils do have a nice trio in Grant, Brown and Jones.
