South Carolina State, UNC-Greensboro, Georgia State, Radford, USC-Upstate and The Citadel are all keeping tabs on Cameron this spring according to West Florence Head Coach Pete Ellis. Cameron spent time this past summer playing AAU basketball with Team Charlotte.
The Knights have a big test this week when they play host to region foe Conway.
Cameron has great length and really can rebound the basketball well on both sides of the floor. He has the ability to get to the basket quite easily with his athleticism and plays plays with some swagger. Cameron really needs to be a more consistent shooter while on the perimeter.
The captain of Knights would like to take the team to the next level. The next level would be a Lower State Championship, then on to Columbia for a State Championship this coming March.
The Knights have suffered three losses this season including two to city rival Wilson High School. The Knights have also lost to Trinity Christian (Fayetteville, NC) back in early December 2016 at the Bojangles Bash.
“Jalen has done nothing but produce is his career at West Florence. Jalen has been part of a Top 10 4A and 5A team while here at West Florence.” said Ellis. Cameron helped the Knights win there third straight Pepsi Carolina Classic this past December.
