The 6’6″ Levi provides scoring, rebounding, defense, passing and overall leadership for the Flyers, who finished the 2016 portion of their schedule with a 6-2 record. Levi relishes the role of being the team’s Swiss Army Knife. Levi is receiving a good amount of interest from Division III programs in Wisconsin and Iowa.
“I’ve been prepped throughout my entire time in high school to do whatever I need to do to help my team,” Levi said. “I like being a utility guy. I can be a guard or I can be a big. I am the one who usually does the dirty work, get the rebounds and play defense.”
For the season, Levi is averaging 16 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 blocks a game. He enjoyed some excellent performances at the recent Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament against some good teams. He had 25 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to top-seeded St. Mary’s in the quarterfinals while also throwing down a pair of impressive dunks in transition. He also had 13 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in a victory over Kirkwood in the opening round. In both games, Levi displayed his overall talents. He said he wants to improve on his overall skill level as he prepares for the collegiate level.
“I definitely want to improve on my jump shot,” he said. “I also want to improve on my ball handling because if I do that, I feel my game will just propel.”
