“The season is going good so far,” McClain said. “My team and I are playing great team basketball and playing at a high intensity every game.”
Red Lake has beaten Cass Lake-Bena twice, beat a team from Chicago, took care of Stephen-Argyle, and lost to Minneapolis by eight.
Guys like Jamie Cook, Kendall Whitefeather, and Will Morrison have all stepped up around him but McClain is the guy showing so much growth.
“I have grown a lot as a basketball student athlete,” McClain said. “I have learned so much over the years and I want to continue to improve everyday. My senior year is going great athletic and student wise. But I still got a lot more to learn and improve on.”
The next question is, what will McClain do next year? There are lots of options, if he does keep playing basketball.
“The schools showing interest are St. Thomas, UW Eau-Claire, Valley City State, St. Scholastica, and Lake Region State, “ McClain said. “As for plans of what I’m doing next year, I still have no idea.
“I was recently accepted into my dream college, the University of Louisville for Academics so I might go there for my education and may or may not walk on. But as of lately I have no clue of my plans for next year.”
