At 6-foot-7 and agile Wood is giving his squad ten points a night along with 13-14 a night from Jordan Lynn and Savion Scott and 11 a game from Terell Smith.
“The season is going well for us,” Wood said. “This year working hard supporting each other we had some struggles here and there but we’re getting a hang of each other everyday.”
The Patriots are 7-3 on the year beating several of the Minneapolis area schools most of which in a big way. Wood has had some strong games so far and is happy about the work he’s put in.
“I’ve grown a lot from last year and this year I worked very hard to get to the position I’m in right now playing harder everyday getting better on and off the court,” Wood said.
It looks like Wood will play college basketball at the junior college level as there are three of them calling him the most.
“Lake Region State, Western Nebraska, and Williston State,” Wood said on who is most interested. “My plan for next year is to go to college and do great to be successful.”
