“I talk to St. John’s, Minot State, Upper Iowa, UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, Lake Region State, and Briar Cliff the most,” Vollbrecht said.
“My recruitment is still very open and I hope to have a decision made a little bit after the season is finished.”
Jordan was 7-0 behind Vollbrecht’s 24 points a game until last night’s loss to Glencoe Silver Lake.
“We’ve started off the year 7-1 suffering our first loss last night which was tough but we’ll learn from it and comeback strong,” Jimmy said. “We really feel we have a shot to make a run this postseason and we’re all excited about it.
“Personally I put up around the same numbers which isn’t a big thing to me since this year more guys are stepping up and making contributions which is very fun to be apart of.”
Eric Tiedman is scoring 14 points a game, freshman Ryan Samuelson ten a game, and Cody Anton eight a night but Vollbrecht is the leader. He’s put a lot of work into being a leader.
“Being a senior this year is a big thing,” Jimmy said. “Coach looks for me to be a leader which is fun with the group of guys we have on the team.
“As a player a big thing that I’ve matured in is shot selection and being a lot more active on the boards.”
