The Raiders are currently 14-4 season and have a big region showdown with Gray Collegiate this coming Friday at Allen University.
Simmons a combo guard more of a 2/1 type can really score the ball when given the chance. Simmons is currently averaging 18.2 ppg, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.7 steals this season for the Raiders.
Simmons has connected on 55% (88-161) from the floor.
Simmons is ranked the #6 player in the Prep Hoops Top 125. Simmons is currently ranked the highest player remaining that’s not committed. Simmons has scored 1,658 career points in 99 games played at Keenan High School.
Simmons played AAU this past summer with Upward Stars SE. “Tariq is fearless and a hard worker on the floor. Tariq will always deliver on the big stage with big plays and is not afraid of the moment” said Keenan Assistant Coach Ryan Norris.
South Carolina State and James Madison have expressed strong interest recently according to Norris. Monmouth, Colorado State and Memphis have been in contact with the crafty combo guard this spring.
